Recently, I attended my best friend’s wedding with the honor of reading an original writing, something created just for them. My first time both creating a piece of work that wasn’t based on my own feelings, experiences, or perceptions and subsequently, reading them aloud. My intention was to paint a picture of their love and hope they saw themselves within the folds. To allow lines to render a memory, tell a story, and breathe warmth into the hearts of those witnessing the beginning of a marriage.
And in turn, I was reminded that love delicately builds in the crevices of the smallest moments in time. That it is not so much the act of falling but is instead a constant invitation forward. That one of the greatest gifts is to see ourselves through the lens of the one we love. And that to witness a friend be enveloped by affection, support, and celebration, is one of the most consuming feelings of all.
This poem is both a dedication to them, their love, and their marriage. It is also a dedication to friendship and the soul connections that become our chosen family.

So beautiful, all of it but this:
“that love delicately builds in the crevices of the smallest moments in time”
Oh my, yes.
Sweet love unfolds into being your truest self unmasked. Surrender to all that is mirroring back to your heart in love. Love is the highest and greatest vibration that holds it all.
